S1 E2 / 112AC Daemon’s occupation of Dragonstone

In response to his disinheritance by his brother King Viserys I, Daemon Targaryen left King’s Landing and illegally occupied Dragonstone with his dragon Caraxes, his mistress Mysaria, and the City Watch. He also stole a dragon egg from the Dragonpit and, when Viserys sent his Hand, Ser Otto Hightower, and some of the King’s Guard to retrieve it, forced them back with threats of war. However, when Rhaenyra, his niece and the crown princess, later visited Daemon on her own dragon Syrax, he backed down and returned the egg. see external link

S1 E2 / 112AC War for the Stepstones

Angered by King Viserys I’s refusal to marry his daughter and his unwillingness to act against the naval threat posed by the Triarchy, Corlys Velaryon, Lord of the Tides, aligns himself with the rogue prince Daemon Targaryen. Together, the two decide to take the Stepstones from the forces of the Triarchy, led by Craghas Drahar, the Crabfeeder. This results in three years of fruitless struggle as the Triarchy makes use of the many caves of the Stepstones to evade the superior Westerosi troops and Daemon’s dragon Caraxes. see external link

S1 E3 / 115AC Siege of Bloodstone

The failure of Daemon Targaryen and Corlys Velaryon to win a victory in the Stepstones after three years of fruitless conflict with the forces of the Tetrarchy finally convinced King Viserys I to send ten ships and 2,000 men to the islands in 115 AC. Furious that he was about to bailed out, Daemon enacted a desperate ruse to use himself as bait to draw out Craghas Drahar (the Crabeater) and his men on Bloodstone. The ruse proved successful and, just as Daemon was about to be overwhelmed by Drahar’s men, Laenor Velaryon appeared with his dragon Seasmoke and burned away his opponents, leaving Daemon to finish off Drahar himself. see external link
